Four steps for household air conditioner cleaner

Step 1: Turn off the power

This is the most overlooked step. Before cleaning, be sure to unplug the air conditioner plug to prevent electric shock!

Step 2: Clean the exterior of the air conditioner

Wipe the air conditioner housing and exposed parts with a wet rag.

Note: The rag should not be too wet to prevent it from penetrating into the air conditioner and corroding the parts.

The filtration device is the core part of cleaning.

Find the clips of the opening panels on the left and right sides of the air conditioner, gently push up, open the panel, and see the filter screen.

Take out the filter screen, wash the back (concave) with clean water, and then gently brush with a toothbrush. After washing, put it in a cool place to dry naturally.

Note: Do not directly clean the front of the filter screen with water, otherwise it is not easy to clean.

Step 4: Clean the evaporator

1. After removing the filter screen, you can see the evaporator radiator. You can choose household air conditioner cleaner for spraying, but please do not spray it on the components outside the evaporator to avoid short circuit after starting.

Note that other cleaners are not recommended! The main ingredients of the air conditioner cleaning agent formula include surfactant, solvent, bactericide and acarid agent, corrosion inhibitor, essence, etc., which is specially used to clean the cooling fin of the air conditioner evaporator. The radiator of the air conditioner is not removable. It is useless to wipe with a wet cloth or brush. Using other cleaning agents can easily damage the heat sink. For this reason, when cleaning the evaporator, conventional air conditioner cleaner should be used, and the product function should be clearly seen when selecting, so as to ensure the cleaning effect.

2. After spraying, replace the dry filter screen and panel and let it stand for 10 minutes.

3. Start the air conditioner and adjust the air volume and cooling capacity (note: no heating) to the maximum value of 30 minutes.

Tip 1: The household air conditioner should be cleaned immediately as long as the heating/cooling effect is obviously poor or the noise becomes loud, even if it is not stopped during the actual use.
